Nicholas Reynolds talked about his book Basrah, Baghdad, and Beyond: The U.S. Marine Corps in the Second Iraq War, published by the Naval Institute Press. Beginning in 2003, Col. Reynolds served in Kuwait and Iraq as Officer in Charge of Field History for the Marine Corps to conduct interviews and preserve official data. In his book he lays out the history of the preparation and execution of the Marine invasion of Iraq. During the event, Col. Reynolds presented a slideshow depicting his work in Iraq and the U.S. invasion in March 2003. He talked about conducting research in Iraq and the obstacles he encountered putting together a history of the current war. He responded to questions from members of the audience. close
