The Department of Veterans Affairs marked the 75th anniversary of the Veterans Administration with an event in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda. The ceremony began with the Presentation of the Colors, the National Anthem and the invocation. Secretary Nicholson and other dignitaries talked about the history of the Department and its ongoing job of caring for U.S. military veterans and their widows and children. They also spoke about the wars in which the veterans fought and praised the service and sacrifices of all military personnel. The ceremony ended with a prayer. close
