Iraqi Prime Minister Al-Maliki spoke to a joint meeting of Congress in the chamber of the U.S. House of Representatives. In his remarks he talked about security in Baghdad and other parts of the country, his decision to ban the operation of militia forces, and efforts to combat terrorism in the region. He also appealed for more reconstruction aid and talked about U.S. and Iraqi interests in the future of Iraq.
