Senator Byron Dorgan talked about his book, Take This Job and Ship It: How Corporate Greed and Brain-Dead Politics Are Selling Out America, published by Thomas Dunne Books. He described America’s trade policy and argued that outsourcing and corporate greed have hurt American workers. He said that American companies such as Huffy, Levi’s, and Fruit of the Loom have been outsourcing jobs to other countries, sacrificing American values for bigger profits. He briefly explained his plan to balance trade deficits, lock in sustainable worker wages and conditions nationally and internationally, and secure domestic infrastructure. He also responded to audience members' questions. close
