Sen. Barack Obama delivered the keynote speech at Sen. Tom Harkin’s 29th Annual Steak Fry at the Warren County Fairgrounds in Indianola, Iowa. Other speakers included Gov. Tom Vilsack, gubernatorial candidate Chet Culver, and Lt. Gov. Sally Pederson. They spoke about a number of issues related to the Democratic Party agenda including the economy, social programs, military operations in Iraq, and the potential outcome of the 2006 midterm elections. Senator Obama underscored the party’s agenda by explaining the variety of ways Americans had “had enough” of Republican and Bush administration policies. Following the event Senator Obama and others spoke informally with attendees. close
