Speakers celebrated the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. Constitution Day is celebrated on the anniversary of the Constitutional Convention’s final meeting. Dr. John Eidsmoe, the author of Christianity and the Constitution, spoke on the relevance of the Ten Commandments to every aspect of American law and jurisprudence. The featured speaker, Phyllis Schlafly, received the 2006 Andrew Jackson “Champion of Liberty” Award. Louis Ingram talked about his book, A Politically Incorrect Guide to the Constitution. Charles Orndorff talked about the unconstitutionality of Congressman Tom Davis’s proposal to give the District of Columbia representation in Congress. close
