Candidates for the seat from Connecticut’s 2nd Cogressional District debated. Incumbent Representative Rob Simmons was challenged by Democratic attorney Joe Courtney.

The panelists were: Ted Mann, political writer for The Day; Morgan McGinley, editorial page editor for The Day; Mark Davis, capitol correspondent for WTNH-News Channel 8; and moderator Kay Maxwell, former national president of the League of Women Voters.

The debate, sponsored by The New London Day and the League of Women Voters, was held in the Garde Arts Center in New London. close
