Peter Stone discussed his book Heist: Superlobbyist Jack Abramoff, His Republican Allies, and the Buying of Washington, published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux. Interviewed by Charles Lewis, Mr. Stone described the rise and fall of one of the most powerful fundraisers and lobbyists in history. He revealed new details about the scandal and the individuals involved. 

Charles Lewis founded the Center for Public Integrity in 1989 and served as its executive director through 2004. He then founded The Fund for Independence in Journalism and serves as its president. close
