Craig Nelson appeared on on “The Book Guys” radio show to talk about his new biography, Thomas Paine: Enlightenment, Revolution, and the Birth of Modern Nations, published by Viking. He talked about the life and writings of the Revolutionary leader Thomas Paine, author of the influential pamphlets “Common Sense” and “The Rights of Man.” Mr. Nelson argued that Thomas Paine has not been given the credit he deserves as a Founding Father of the United States. During the discussion, the author answered questions from telephone callers. close
