On Tuesday, October 31, 2006, oral arguments in the case of Philip Morris USA v. Williams were heard by the U.S. Supreme Court. The case was about limiting punitive damages. Attorneys and plaintiff Mayola Williams spoke to reporters on the U.S. Supreme Court Ellipse after the oral arguments. 

On Monday, October 16, 2006, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals heard oral argument in the case Equal Employment Opportunity Commission v. Kidman. The Court will decide if owners of a restaurant in Arizona can institute an English-only policy for their employees. close
