Panelists talked about an analysis of the 2006 midterm election voting released by Electionline.org, identifying both accomplishments and significant problems at the polls. Following an initial review of the report, panelists talked about improving American election policies and administration. Topics included cooperation between election officials and researchers in examining diagnostic tools and innovations, problems with the fragmented nature of the election system, and current debates about standards and new technologies. Mr. Caudell-Feagan moderated the discussion. Participants responded to questions from the audience. close
