Neil Shea wrote about this topic in the December issue of National Geographic. Colonel Gajewski served as chief of orthopedic surgery in a combat support hospital in Iraq. He is now a supervisor with the Amputee Care Program at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, D.C. Both guests responded to telephone calls and electronic mail. close
