Secretary Chertoff delivered a dinner keynote address at the National Security Law Conference. Topics included the relationship between law and national security, worldwide terrorism challenges, the role of intelligence gathering, the Homeland Security Department, personal identification documents, and protecting privacy and civil liberties. After his presentation he responded to audience members' questions.

The 16th Annual Review of the Field of National Security Law Conference held by the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Law and National Security was co-sponsored by the Duke School of Law Center on Law, Ethics, and National Security, and the University of Virginia School of Law Center for National Security Law. close
