To commemorate World AIDS Day, Jeannie White-Ginder talked about her personal and family struggle with accepting and standing behind her son, Ryan White. In 1984, 13-year-old hemophiliac Ryan was diagnosed with AIDS. With the support of his mother, he became the center of a court battle and national crusade to remain in school. She also talked about the effects on family of a positive diagnosis, and the battle she has waged for 22 years. After her presentation she responded to audience members' questions. close
