Moderated by Jon Meacham, the panelists summed up the conference and discussed the Carter legacy and President Carter’s post-presidential activities. Topics included Carter administration accomplishments and the work of the Carter Center in Atlanta for human rights and world peace. After the discussion President Carter also spoke briefly in summation.
Concluding remarks were made by conference director John Anthony Maltese and President Michael Adams.
This session was the final part of the conference, “The Carter Presidency: Lessons for the 21st Century,” held on the 30th anniversary of President Carter’s inauguration. close
