Mr. Mickum spoke about legal actions on behalf of Guantanamo Bay detainees, including the U,S. Supreme Court’s April 2 rejection of an appeal by detainees challenging their 5-year confinement. Mr. Mickum represented clients who claimed they were subjected to torture at Guantanamo Bay. One of Mr. Mickum’s clients, an Iraqi resident of Britain, was to be released after 4 years at Guantanamo Bay, and would not face criminal charges. He also responded to telephone calls and electronic mail. close
