Thomas Friedman talked about his book, The World Is Flat: A Brief History of the Twenty-First Century, on the two-year anniversary of its publication by Farrar, Straus and Giroux. The book was first published in April of 2005 and updated and expanded a year later in April of 2006. The book was on the New York Times Best Sellers list for over 100 consecutive weeks and has yet to be published in a paperback edition. Mr. Friedman discussed his writing style, the publication of his book, and the idea of a “flat world” that he continues to expound upon. He was interviewed in his office in Washington, D.C. close
