Former Senator Bradley was interviewed about his book, The New American Story, published by Random House, in which he presents a plan to reevaluate the current American political system. The former senator argued that U.S. politics is currently stuck and suggested changes that must be made to reinvigorate the citizenry and ensure the country’s future. The guest interviewer was former Republican Congressman James Leach.
Bill Bradley served as a Democratic senator from New Jersey from 1979 to 1997. Prior to his election to the Senate he was a professional basketball player for the New York Knicks from 1967 to 1977. He is the author of five other books and is currently a managing director at Allen and Company LLC.
James Leach served as a Republican Representative from Iowa from 1977 to 2007. During his thirty year tenure in Congress he served as the Chairman of the House Banking and Financial Services Committee and as a member of the House International Relations Committee. He is currently a visiting professor at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. close
