Cora Daniels talked about her book Ghettonation: A Journey into the Land of Bling and Home of the Shameless, published by Doubleday. In her book she writes that the ghetto lifestyle popularized by urban blacks and Latinos is destructive for these communities and for American society as a whole. She argued that ghetto culture teaches young people to value money, sex, and fame over education, social advancement, and marriage. After her presentation she responded to audience members' questions. close
