Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama delivered the luncheon speech at the ninth annual National Action Network convention. He praised Rev. Sharpton and the Network’s accomplishments. He talked about his career from community organizer and anti-apartheid activist on college campuses, to attorney, to Illinois legislator. He also talked about his campaign policies regarding education, the death penalty, jobs, and the war in Iraq.

The event was part of the NAN’s presidential candidate series. The organization has not yet endorsed a candidate. close
