Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte, testified about the future of political, economic, and security relations with China. Topics included a report by Amnesty International that although the Chinese government promised human rights reforms in order to secure the 2008 Olympic Games for Bejing, the Olympic Games have instead motivated the arrest of those considered potential troublemakers.
