Admiral Allen talked about U.S. Coast Guard operations, domestic security issues, enhanced unity of interagency collaboration, and responses to disasters. In 2001, he led the Coast Guard Atlantic Area operations in response to the September 11 attacks, and in 2005, he was the principal federal official for Hurricane Katrina response in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.

Mr. Pascual provided introductory remarks and moderated the discussion. After the program, Admiral Allen answered questions from members of the audience. close
