David Talbot talked about his book Brothers: The Hidden History of the Kennedy Years, published by Free Press. The author read passages from the book. He explored the personal and political relationship between John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy. He argued that the Kennedy brothers and their closest advisors, Kenneth O’Donnell, Robert McNamara and Theodore Sorensen, continually pushed for a peaceful resolution to the Cold War. Mr. Talbot proposed that Robert Kennedy spent a great deal of the remainder of his life in a search for his own answers to his brother’s assassination. After his presentation the author responded to audience members' questions. close
