President Bush spoke to current and former dissidents on the topic “Democracy and Security: Core Values and Sound Policies” at a conference held in the Cernin Palace in Prague. In his remarks he criticized Russia for impeding democratic reforms and promised to engage Russian President Putin on the issue during a forthcoming meeting of the G-8 in Germany. He also talked about mutual cooperation in combating terrorism and on missile defense. close
