Michael Chandler and Rohan Gunaratna talked about their book Countering Terrorism: Can We Meet the Threat of Global Violence?, published by Reaktion Books. They said that since September 11, 2001, the world has failed to effectively combat terrorism. They contended that the international community, and especially the United States, has put politics over international cooperation and has failed to create a united front against terrorism. After their presentation they responded to audience members' questions. close
