The book chronicles the New Deal era and the effects such measures have had on modern day human rights, foreign policy, and the global economy. She described the thought process behind New Deal organizers and argued that for the first time, the interests of the people were placed before the interests of national governments. After her presentation she responded to audience members' questions.
