Specialists Barbara Morgan and Benjamin Drew participated by remote connection from the International Space Station with students in the Challenger Center for Space Science Education. The students, winners of a national poster contest, asked questions about living in space. The astronauts demonstrated activities including washing faces, brushing teeth, and eating, and performed physics demonstrations. Former Astronaut Crouch also helped answer questions.

Welcoming remarks were made by Joyce Leavitt Winterton, and June Scobee Rodgers, widow of Challenger Space Shuttle Commander Dick Scobee. close
