Senator Mary Landrieu (D) hosted a “Hope and Recovery Summit” to commemorate the second anniversary of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and the flooding that followed. Participants focused on rebuilding costal waterways and urban infrastructure, levee and water management projects, and strategies for future emergency preparedness in the event of catastrophic disasters. The event was held at the University of New Orleans Lindy C. Boggs International Conference Center Auditorium. close
