Senator Mary Landrieu hosted a “Hope and Recovery Summit” to commemorate the second anniversary of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita and the flooding that followed. Law enforcement and other officials spoke about crime rates, crime prevention, challenges facing civil authorities during reconstruction, and the future of law enforcement and criminal justice in the New Orleans area.
