Assistant Secretary Myers testified about her nomination by President Bush to continue as assistant secretary for U.S. Immigration and Customs in the Department of Homeland Security. She started serving in this position after a January 2006 recess appointment which expired in January 2007. President Bush re-nominated her for the position.
