Michael Ledeen talked about his book, The Iranian Time Bomb: The Mullah Zealots' Quest for Destruction, published by St. Martin’s Press. He reviewed the history of Iran’s long-standing war against the West and discussed American policy toward Iran from the fall of the shah to the present. He analyzed the Iranian regime’s treatment of its own citizens, presented a detailed assessment of the mullahs' vision of the future, and proposed a strategy for thwarting their global ambitions. R. James Woolsey and Cliff May joined Mr. Ledeen in a discussion of Iran as a threat to the United States and Israel, suggesting ways to counter the threat without using military means. They responded to questions from members of the audience. close
