Peniel Joseph talked about his book Waiting 'Til the Midnight Hour: A Narrative History of Black Power in America, published by Holt. His book chronicles the history of the black power movement in America. Professor Joseph follows a group of activists that built their movement upon the work of Malcolm X. The author relays the rise of the Black Panthers and profiles leaders of the black power movement such as Huey P. Newton, Stokely Carmichael and Angela Davis. He responded to questions from members of the audience.
