Mr.Mark P.Lagon and Mr. Michael Lind co-wrote an article for The National Interest on United States defense policy. Mr. Lagon described American foreign policy in the post Cold-war era and the need to think about how to respond to various political interests. Mr. Lind discussed the need for national integrity, frontier control, continental security of North America, and global access to markets and resources in the United States as it restructured its foreign policy agenda. Mr. Lagon and Mr. Lind answered questions regarding the recent Persian Gulf crisis and the role of the United Nations since the end of the war. close
