Lieutenant Colonel Steve Russell (Ret.) talked about the situation in Iraq and what would be necessary to achieve victory. He talked about statements by politicians that he found detrimental to those efforts. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, he commanded the 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry ‘Regulars’ and conducted combat in Tikrit, Iraq, from the Spring of 2003 to the Spring of 2004 and was involved in the hunt and capture of Saddam Hussein. He showed many pictures as he talked about the caputre of Saddam. Lieutenant Colonel Russell (Ret.) responded to questions from members of the audience. close
