President Bush held a news conference in the White House Briefing Room. He urged Congress o expedite passage of spending legislation, called for extension of authorization for intelligence surveillance, and said he would work with Congress on child health care insurance policy. He also answered questions on the visit and Congressional Gold Medal ceremony for the Dalai Lama later in the day. He also responded to one question on policy toward Iran saying that allowing Iran to obtain nuclear weapons could lead to a global crisis along the lines of a “World War III.” close
