Sir David Frost talked about his book Frost/Nixon: Behind the Scenes of the Nixon Interviews, published by Harper Perennial. In 1977 former President Richard Nixon sat down for a series of interviews with David Frost. The eleven sessions aired worldwide and included the former president’s thoughts on topics ranging from Vietnam to Watergate. In his book Sir David Frost recounts the preparation and execution required to produce the interviews and includes personal remembrances of his on and off camera conversations with President Nixon. The guest interviewer was Timothy Naftali, director of the Richard Nixon Presidential Library.
Sir David Frost has been a television personality and journalist since the early 1960s with his involvement in several BBC programs, including “That Was the Week That Was,” "The Frost Report," and “Breakfast with Frost.” Sir David Frost is the only person to have interviewed the last seven American presidents and the last six British prime ministers. He is currently the host of the Al Jazeera English program, “Frost over the World.”
Timothy Naftali is the director of the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum. He is the author of numerous books, including Blind Spot: The Secret History of American Counter Terrorism and the soon to be published George H.W. Bush part of The American Presidents biography series. close
