James Stephenson talked about his book Losing the Golden Hour: An Insider’s View of Iraq’s Reconstruction (Potomac Books; October 31, 2007). In his book James Stephenson talked about his work as the Agency for International Development (USAID) mission director in Iraq from 2004 to 2005. In his book he argued that the Coalition Provisional Authority was dysfunctional and was staffed by people who had little experience in nation-building. Mr. Stephenson concluded his book by offering his assessment of Iraq’s future.
