Nancy Polikoff talked about her book , Beyond (Straight and Gay) Marriage: Valuing All Families Under the Law, published by Beacon Press. Her book argues that marriage should not be valued more than other forms of family and relationships. It examines the historical, legal, and cultural perceptions of marriage and presents court cases that she says have influenced public opinion on the topic. Following her remarks Ms. Polikoff responded to questions from members of the audience. close
