Representative Michael Capuano, chair of the House Task Force on Ethics Enforcement, talked by remote video about recommendations for creating an independent ethics review office in the House and other ethics recommendations from the Special Task Force on Ethics Enforcement. Representative Capuano, who was appointed task force chairman by Speaker Pelosi, released the recommendations Wednesday, December 19, 2007, on behalf of the four Democrats on the task force. Four Republicans on the task force, appointed by Republican Leader John Boehner, did not join in the release and had so far withheld comment. After the interview, the reporters in the studio discussed his responses with the host. close
