Philip Peters talked about Fidel Castro’s announcement that he is stepping down.
After nearly 50 years in power, the 81-year-old leader of Cuba announced on February 19 that he would step down as president. Mr. Peters speculated about what this decision means, not only for Cuba and the Cuban people, but also for U.S relations. He responded to telephone calls and electronic mail.
Participating by telephone from Havana, Anthony Boadle talked about Castro’s decision and the latest developments on the resignation of the Cuban president. Boadle has been covering Cuba for the past six years.
