President Bush toured the tornado damage in Lafayette, Tennessee. The tornados were part of a storm system that hit Tennesee, Mississippi, Alabama, and Kentucky Tuesday night, February 5, 2008. President Bush signed an executive order declaring a state of disaster in Tennessee late Thursday night. The president went on an aerial tour, received a briefing from federal and local emergency response teams at the Atwell and Scruggs Fire Station of the Lafayette Fire Department, toured affected neighborhoods on the ground, and made remarks to reporters. close
