The Canadian House of Commons Foreign Affairs and International Development Committee held a hearing on extending the Canadian troop mission in Afghanistan. There were about 2,500 Canadian troops in Afghanistan and 80 soldiers have died so far.
The next day members of the House of Commons voted to extend the troop mission in Afghanistan until 2011.
