Jeff Sessions talked about today’s Senate debate on energy policy and responded

to telephone calls and electronic mail. Senator Sessions supports the Republican energy plan - S 2958 - that is intended to increase the supply of oil by allowing leases for drilling in the Outer Continental Shelf, drill in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, construct more refineries, spur production of alternative fuels such as advanced batteries, and mandate production of 6 billion gallons clean coal by 2022. The bill is scheduled to be debated & voted on later today. close
