Marsali Hancock talked about the iKeep Safe Coalition and its efforts to keep children safe on the Internet. Topics included cyberbullying, maintaining a person’s “digital reputation,” and advice for parents. She warned about the variety of applicaitons that posed a danger and the three types of activities to be concerned about: inappropriate contact, content, and conduct. Some Public Service Announcements (PSAs) made by the organization were shown. The PointSmart.ClickSafe. Summit was held earlier this week, bringing together technology companies, advocacy groups, policymakers, and others in order to share and develop ways for keeping kids safe. She responded to telephone calls and electronic mail. close
