A panel discussion was held on the disclosure of information to the consumers of mortgages. Topics included what consumers look for versus what they should look for and what the purpose of a disclosure document is, i.e., to inform, warn, or educate). Susan Woodward talked about the results of a study that measured the benefits of the worst-informed of those who get a mortgage being as informed as the best-informed of people who get a mortgage.
