The International Organizations, Human Rights and Oversight Subcommittee of the House Foreign Affairs Committee held a briefing titled “Iraqi Parliament’s Perspective on U.S.-Iraqi Relations” with members of the Iraqi Parliament to hear their assessment of the proposed U.S.-Iraq Security Agreement. The new security agreement is intended to replace the current United Nations Security Council resolutions authorizing the United States to engage in combat operations in Iraq which would expire at the end of the year. close
