A town hall meeting was held for residents of southeastern North Carolina regarding the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) decision to implement a test market for the digital television transition in Wilmington, North Carolina, on September 8, 2008. The transition for the rest of the nation is February 17, 2009. Topics included the need for the transition, the coupon program, digital television service, and setting up the equipment. The representatives from WWAY News Channel 3, the Federal Communications Commission, and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration responded to questions from members of the audience.
