Boris Gindin and David Hagberg talked about Mutiny, their book about the 1975 mutiny on the Soviet submarine Storozhevoy, which inspired Tom Clancy to write The Hunt for Red October. David Hagberg talked about the origins of the mutiny and the book and read excerpts. Mr. Hagbert questioned Mr. Gindin on various topics, including his fears about writing about the Soviet government. The authors responded to questions from audience members.

Boris Gindin was chief engineer and senior lieutenant on the FFG Storozhevoy.

David Hagberg, a former Air Force cryptographer, is the author of over 20 novels, including The Kremlin Conspiracy and Dance with the Dragon. close
