The conservative political groups Citizens United and the Conservative Victory Committee held a joint news conference to announce their continued support for the Supreme Court nomination of U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Clarence Thomas. The groups challenged recent allegations that Judge Thomas sexually harassed one of his staff members during his tenure at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The recent revelation of the allegations were enough for the Senate to delay Judge Thomas' confirmation vote for one week to hold hearings on the allegations. close
