The Foreign Policy Association, the Ford Foundation, and the World Affairs Council co-sponsored a forum on events in the 1980s relating to South Africa. Speakers in the forum discussed the continuing political strife in South Africa between blacks and Afrikaners, the dismantling of apartheid laws by the South African government, and the possibility of the elimination of apartheid altogether through a new South African constitution. The speakers responded to questions from the audience following their prepared remarks. close
